SEA SALTS
Sourced from the Protected Lagoons of Messolonghi
Our sea salt comes from the famous salt pans of Messolonghi, a unique coastal wetland in Western Greece renowned for producing some of the country's finest natural sea salt.
The Messolonghi lagoon system is one of the largest and most important wetland ecosystems in the Mediterranean. It is protected under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands and forms part of the Natura 2000 network, recognised for its exceptional biodiversity, rich wildlife, and ecological significance.
Located between the Acheloos and Evinos rivers, this remarkable natural environment combines pristine seawater, abundant sunshine, and traditional salt-harvesting methods that have been practiced for generations. The salt pans of Messolonghi produce the majority of Greece's sea salt and are deeply connected to the region's history and culture.
The result is a pure, mineral-rich sea salt harvested from an area celebrated not only for its natural beauty but also for its environmental importance and centuries-old salt-making heritage.
